Kate Powers, MJ Day, and Anita Marshall put on a Photography and Empowerment Workshop for young girls at a school in the Dominican Republic. The representation of women in the media is changing. As body inclusivity and diversity become more important values for society and as more and more women are involved in creative and decision making roles at companies, we can see a real shift in the kinds of women being represented. Jro Pande Subrata and his wife walk Hunter through the process of making a traditional Keris. A Keris looks like a dagger, but is more of a spiritual totem than an actual weapon made to inflict harm.
